Turn Your Walking into an Adventure!
Walking is one of the easiest, and free, ways to get exercise. You can walk just about anywhere. It is recommended that we get at least 30 minutes of exercise per day and to walk at least 10,000 steps.
A new trend in the phone app world, is scavenger hunting. There are several apps that you can download for free or for a small fee, that will get you out walking and searching for hidden objects for you to keep or stamp your name on.
Here is a list of high rated apps that you can download to start your scavenger hunt adventure!
Geocaching: There are millions of cleverly hidden containers called geocaches scattered throughout more than 185 countries, just waiting to be found—there are probably even some near you right now. This app will give you GPS directions and clues to finding your next geocache. Some are very easy to find, while others require clever thinking!

Munzee- Scavenger Hunt: Munzee is the 21st century real world scavenger hunt where QR codes are found and captured using your smartphone. A player levels up and gains rank based on score. Points are obtained by capturing munzees. As you gain experience we encourage you to deploy your own munzees which will also add points to your score.
Munzees come in any size or shape but most contain a QR-code style barcode. The QR code is checked against your GPS coordinates as the essential gameplay elements of Munzee. Munzees can be hidden in containers, camouflaged or stickers in plain view.

Pokemon Go: Search far and wide for Pokémon and items. Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!
