Strawberry Waffles

With Mother’s Day being just a few short days away here is a quick, easy and very yummy recipe to make Mom for Mother’s Day.AdobeStock_63034021


  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla Greek-style yogurt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3/4 chopped strawberries or more if you would like


  1. Preheat and grease your waffle iron
  2. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl
  3. Whisk buttermilk, yogurt, butter, eggs, and sugar together in a separate bowl and then stir into flour mixture until batter is smooth
  4. Add strawberries into batter
  5. Pour about 1/3 cup batter into preheated waffle iron; cook until lightly browned, 5 to 7 minutes
  6. Repeat with remaining batter
  7. Add additional strawberries or other fruit to the top of the waffle and serve with syrup and butter
