Strawberry Waffles

With Mother’s Day being just a few short days away here is a quick, easy and very yummy recipe to make Mom for Mother’s Day.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vanilla Greek-style yogurt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
- 3/4 chopped strawberries or more if you would like
Directions:
- Preheat and grease your waffle iron
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl
- Whisk buttermilk, yogurt, butter, eggs, and sugar together in a separate bowl and then stir into flour mixture until batter is smooth
- Add strawberries into batter
- Pour about 1/3 cup batter into preheated waffle iron; cook until lightly browned, 5 to 7 minutes
- Repeat with remaining batter
- Add additional strawberries or other fruit to the top of the waffle and serve with syrup and butter
