Limb Salvaging

Dr Hollander have been able to participate in the care of many patients, allowing them to keep their limbs, which they were told they would otherwise lose.

Statistics show:

Altogether, 61% of the patients with Diabetes and 54.3% of those without diabetes died about 5 years after the first amputation. Survival was not different between patients with and without diabetes.**

The Role of a podiatrist is to save limbs, therefore extending the life a patient has.

Wound care and limb salvaging is a difficult one, but a very important. Dr Hollander prides himself in doing everything possible for  every patient.
