DIY Gel Pack

Did you sprain your ankle or bruise your thigh and need a gel pack? There is no need to run to the store and buy one.

Here is a recipe to make your own!

 

What you need:

¾ cup water

¼ isopropyl alcohol

2 sealing sandwich bags

Food coloring (optional)

 

How to make your gel pack:

Add water, isopropyl and a few drops of food coloring, into your sandwich bag.

Press out as much air  out of the bag as you can and then seal the bag.

Place your bag into a second bag.

Press out as much air as you can out of the second bag, and seal it shut.

Place the bag in your freezer for 2-3 hours before use.

 

*Mixture may be slushy, but will not completely freeze
